From Chris Corbett, on behalf of the Stewardship Committee
Last month we spent some time talking about the Auction, its unique place in our Congregation’s life, and asking you, our members, to take part. To invoke a baseball metaphor, you hit it out of the park!!
The Auction exceeded all expectations and raised significantly more money than expected. This is what happens when a record number of items and experiences are donated.
Many “thank you’s “are in order:
First and foremost, Jason Fortuna and Nick Lewis as co-chairs did an amazing job bringing the entire event together. They worked tirelessly from August up to the night of the event and beyond. Thank you Jason and Nick!
So many others made this a night to celebrate. Our Senior Youth that stepped in to help enter data and check everyone out. Some brought food, some set up and decorated, some manned the kitchen and beverage tables and some stayed late and cleaned up. It takes a village to put an event like this – Thank you one and all!
Finally, thank you to all that donated items. We had a record number of parties that many will be enjoying throughout the new year.
So we are off to a good fundraising year! Next the big event – the Pledge Drive! Talk to you in January about our plans.
