Our community still needs our support.
Ways to Give
There are many ways to provide financial support for Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair. You can give at any time using our online form.
Consider other ways to ensure our bright future:
Committing to give, or promising financial support, is a common Unitarian Universalist practice. Giving is the primary way we plan for and fund our ministries. Your commitment to give ensures our ministers are inspiring on Sundays and that our music program continues to blossom. Giving support family ministries, unclog the toilets, and support our social justice initiatives.
We’ve set a goal of $525,000 for the annual 2023-24 Commitment to Give. You can manage your giving online using Realm.
Wills and other estate planning documents provide an ideal opportunity to make a statement of faith and to give resources that will support our Congregation for years to come. Wills and other forms of legacy giving are essential components of estate planning – the process of managing your accumulated assets and determining what legacy you will leave through them, including your legacy of justice.
Your Chance to Get a Piece of UUCM History: Capital Campaign 2022-23
The next time you come to the Congregation, look up! We have a new roof. Our old slate roof, installed after the 1918 fire, finally wore out and had to be replaced and we did it this past summer. It was a major undertaking which required us to empty most of our Capital Fund. To be ready for future emergency repairs, such as the likely need to replace the Air Conditioning in the Sanctuary and probably other unforeseen things, we are going to need to replenish that Capital Fund.
So we are asking each of you to make a donation to celebrate our Congregation’s 125 years. When you do so, you will receive a piece of UUCM history—a piece of slate from our old roof! These rewards come at three levels:
- Anyone who donates $25 or more will receive a piece of slate roofing. It could be a simple decorative item or you could use it as a cheese board!
- Anyone who donates $200 or more will receive a piece of slate roofing that has been silk screened with a design that marks our 125th anniversary.
- And anyone who is able to donate $1000 or more will receive a piece of slate roofing that has been hand-painted by a member of the Art & Soul covenant group. These hand-painted slates are limited in quantity and early donors will have the widest selection.
To make a donation, you can come to the Welcome Fest any of the next three weekends and make your donation at our Slate Fundraiser table and select your reward. Or you can make a donation online. You can then pick up your appropriate piece of slate on a future Sunday. If it is not possible for you to come to the Congregation, we will try our best to get your reward to you.
