Religious Education Looking Forward – March 2014

The weather is starting to allow us to open windows and spend more time outdoors (thinking positively here). There are more opportunities to live our principles outside our doors with field trips and retreats. This month, Pre-K is focusing on nature, animals and habitats which will surely provide reasons to venture into the “wild” in one way or another. Our Neighboring Faiths class has several engaging programs planned, including a field trip to a Mosque and a visit from a Native American speaker to their classroom. The 4th and 5th Grades will begin OWL class this month. Just a reminder to the parents: the March 2nd orientation is a must in order to participate in that class, so please be sure you and your child attend (see specifics below). And on my end, I will be going to Murray Grove, March 3rd through the 6th for a UU Heritage and History program.

If you are one of our newer parents to the Religious Education program here at the U, or you would like an opportunity to get more information about RE, there will be a New Parent Orientation between services on March 9th.  Please grab a cup of coffee and meet us in the Alliance room about 10:15 (the room directly across from the kitchen). We will give a brief overview of the RE program and answer any questions you might have.
