Our Ministers

Our congregation was founded in 1897 by a group of women seeking liberal religious education for their children and has a history of long-term settled ministry.

Rev. Anya Sammler-Michael

Central to Rev. Anya's current ministry is the honest confrontation necessary to dismantle white supremacy, xenophobia, homophobia, transphobia, and sexism.

A "Religious, Naturalist Mystic," Rev Scott strives to embody service to our holy mission to build Beloved Community, together, in covenant.

Until we meet again, virtually or otherwise, you are in our hearts.

I’m Going to Do a New Thing

I’m Going to Do a New Thing

January 2, 2022

Our Annual Fire Communion Service invites us into a space of intention. We will determine what we need to release, and what we will incarnate, in the year ahead. This service is all ages and it engages every sense in an exploration of the potentiality of a new year.

Let There Be Light

Let There Be Light

December 19, 2021

Amid these holidays/holy days, candles are kindled, trees twinkle, a star shines in the East, and legends of light illumine our hearts and warm our imaginations—as if the very Universe has proclaimed: “Let there be light.”

Joy Comes Back

Joy Comes Back

December 12, 2021

As we strive to thrive amid this global pandemic, joy teases us from every corner. Yet, joy lies there ... awaiting us to dance with it. And even though we may find it hard to embrace joy in the midst of so much uncertainty, how do we prepare to celebrate life and love when Joy Comes Back? How do we embrace the chances to invite joy more deeply into our hearts despite the state of the world?

Molly, UUCM Religious Education graduate

I am proud to have grown up in this congregation. I learned here to become a compassionate and passionate advocate for social justice on all fronts.

Join us as we counter white supremacy, fight climate change, protect voting rights, witness border injustices, and more.

Share your gifts and help us build Beloved Community.

Whether it is in a classroom, in worship, planting flowers, or on the pledge team, we need your special skills!
