Candle Category: Support

We lit a candle in sympathy with students, faculty, staff and supporters of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, many of which have received numerous bomb threats this past week. May this reign of terror end swiftly.  

Shannon Gattens lights a candle of support for her friend Perla Mondriguez whose brother Carlos passed away suddenly of a heart attack at age 48.

Monica Wolf lit a candle and shared, “Please hold me, Tabitha, and Gabriel in your thoughts and prayers as we head into this difficult chapter of our family, so that we may all be safe and have enough.”

We lit a candle for the Moore and Natto family, and the Smith and Naftelberg families who have both been struggling with illness and physical pain. May healing come and may the caretakers find rest.

October 15 was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. We lit this candle to surround all of the families in our congregation who honored their grief on this day, with the light of our love.
