Share a Remembrance
We are living in troubled times and we all need care from time to time. You can light a candle, request pastoral care, find support from the care team, or honor our community’s joys and sorrows. Do not bear the burden alone. We are here for each other.
Candles of Remembrance
Sharing Remembrances in Worship works best when we share our souls’ yearnings with the worship leader before Sunday morning. If you would like to have this Sunday’s worship leader share your request aloud during the pastoral prayer, you may do so by submitting the form. This will also light a candle on our website.
Our Joys and Sorrows
Donald Trawin
Our congregation joins with David Lewis and Helen Buckley to light a candle in memory of Donald Trawin. Don died peacefully Saturday morning at his residence in Cedar Crest retirement community where he and his late wife Merrilea had lived for the past 18 years. Don was 101 years old at his passing. Don and Merrilea joined this congregation in 1953. They were active in leadership roles, including Don serving as the president of the congregation in the 1980’s. Don was an artist, a singer with a big baritone voice and a true renaissance man. A dedicated husband and father to two daughters, Nancy and Leslie and numerous grand and great grandchildren. Don will be missed by many friends in the community and especially by David who first met Don in 1956 and treasured his friendship and artistic talents for so many years.
Joseph
Deborah Ann Tripoldi and family light a candle in remembrance of her older brother, Joseph. Joseph would have been 53 on December 29. He died due to medical complications at the age of 3.
