Music Committee Spring Fling!

Music Committee Spring Fling!
Fletcher Hall, Saturday, April 8, at 7:30 pm

This year we are fortunate to welcome UUCM member Randy Crafton’s band Sleeping Bee, with our own Youth Band The Half Steps opening.

Sleeping Bee combines the talents of bassist and multi-instrumentalist Lindsey Horner of jazz and multi-genre renown, Andy Goessling of Railroad Earth, guitarist and singer Timothy Hill, and percussionist Randy Crafton. While labels fall short, their music has been referred to as “World Folk Jazz” and exists in that unique early 21st century area where folk, jazz, Celtic song forms, melodic improvisation, and original ideas all happily co-exist and vitalize each other. The sound of Sleeping Bee is both strikingly original and hauntingly familiar.

The event will be BYOB with a spread of homemade desserts. Tickets are $18 in advance or $20 at the door for adults, $12 in advance or $15 at the door for students and seniors. Children up to age 12 attend for free. You can get your tickets here:
