Rae Dumont joined UUCM in 2016, after moving from Maine to be near her daughter and her grandson in Montclair. She is both a pediatrician and family therapist, and a writer of fiction. She loves big family gatherings, hiking and kayaking, and playing jazz piano. Her two dogs are devoted ‘walking meditation gurus’.
She is a member of the Chalice Choir and Chamber Chorus. When Covid struck, she served as co-chair of the Reopening and Implementation Task force. She served a three-year term on the Council on Ministries. She is a member of the Undoing Racism Team and worked on the Congregational Focus Team that explored the congregation’s commitment to the Eighth Principle. She has long been involved with Climate Justice. She is a member of three covenant groups: Art and Soul, Femininity and Faith, and Writing as a Spiritual Practice.
