Youth & Young Adult Working Con!

What’s a Peer Chaplain? We will be offering a Youth and Young Adult Working Con January 8-10, 2016. Peer Chaplains are caring, understanding and compassionate listeners. They volunteer to serve at UU events such as youth conferences to offer one-on-one, personal care and attention to those who need extra support. These are not certified professionals, but everyday people with a desire to serve their fellow human beings. The chaplain is one of the most important positions at a conference or other UU community event because of the emotionally supportive and spiritually nurturing role that they play in the community as a whole.
