On Saturday, January 25th, Montclair residents and friends from surrounding areas will once again come together for an evening of music, community building, and support for the Haitian people at the Fifth Annual Concert for Haiti. A diverse line-up of accomplished musicians will perform at this fundraiser for Edeyo Foundation, the Haitian Education and Leadership Program (HELP) and Lamp for Haiti. As always, Montclair students will be an integral part of the event, learning about how their efforts can help improve the lives of students in Haiti. This year Emeline Michel, a Haitian singer who has been called “The Joni Mitchell of Haiti”, will join us along with the Passing Notes and other local favorites. Tickets are $20 and available at the UU Marketplace during coffee hour or from Jerry Fried, who is happy to give more information.
