Join Rev. Scott this Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 9:00 and 11:00 AM, as he leads us through an exploration of the spirit of truth as it is too often thwarted in how we teach History. Using Lames Loewen’s seminal work, “Lies My Teacher Told Me,” we will together have fun while confronting the challenge of how to reveal an accurate, fully human version of our history and its ‘heroes.’ We will begin with dispelling dangerous myths about Columbus in a fun, game-show themed Time for All Ages, supporting by Rev. Anya, Dan Silver, and the UUCM Chalice Choir. Come learn how the courage to tell the whole truth is central to a sound spiritual journey. We will also welcome Iris DeLaPaz into the Religious Education Credentialing Program. After service, Rev. Scott will lead our Pathways to Membership class in a session on Unitarian Universalist History.
