Art & Soul Covenant Group and Undoing Racism Committee Invite you to the Montclair Art Museum on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 6:00 PM for a community discussion of the exhibition, Kara Walker, Virginia’s Lynch Mob and Other Works. Kara Walker is a mid-career, contemporary, African-American artist. Since the 1990s she has focused her paintings, silhouettes, prints, and installations on scenes depicting slavery and lynchings. The Montclair Art Museum has asked us to facilitate this important community discussion. This event is part of the museum’s Community Conversation program and is free.
