Religious Education Looking Forward – Summer 2016

Summer is finally here and we’ve started our Summer program for Kindergarteners to Sixth graders, “Dr. Seuss Changed my Life”, where we explore our UU principles through Dr. Seuss’s stories.  We would love for your youth to join us any Sunday to continue enrichment of our UU values.

We are currently in full preparation mode for next year.  We have a ton of exciting things in the works for next school year that will enhance our program and hopefully strengthen our bonds between each other and our faith.  We are looking to incorporate more community building events and a social justice project.  During Children’s Chapel we will be learning about other faiths and expanding our understanding of each other and the world.  September 10th marks the beginning of our RE year with Start Up Saturday, where our teachers will gather together to receive their teaching packets, curriculum, and valuable teacher training. It is important for all teachers to gather at this time to meet your teaching teams, plan the teaching schedule, and pick up tips on managing your classroom and how to present the material in an exciting and creative manner. It is also a chance for you to review the curriculum and have questions answered concerning any aspect of the teaching experience.

This coming year is sure to be thrilling and we need your help to make it amazing. Please take some time to register your child for next year or volunteer.
