HAPPY NEW YEAR! Now that 2016 is over it’s time to kick it into high gear.  Regular classes will resume on January 8th.  We have a lot of things coming up this year, so please follow us on Facebook so you can stay up to date on what is going on. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1078191248877955/)

I am super excited for this New Year as there are tons of amazing things planned. As part of our Think Orange program, we are going to continue to try to blend the red love of our homes and the yellow light of our congregation.  Part of this process involves reactivating the family through dynamic experiences. Some experiences that will be happening in the New Year are community building events, an experience that brings together the families to increase fellowship among us.  The first family outing planned is a congregation wide opportunity at the Montclair Art Museum on January 5th for their First Free Thursdays.  We will meet outside UUCM at 5:00 PM and walk over.  Please invite your friends, neighbors, or acquaintances. The more the merrier!

The first day we return to our normal schedule, there is a Kindergarten/First grade parent OWL meeting. If you are interested in having your child participate or know somebody who might want their children to participate, please attend this very important meeting.

On Saturday, January 28th, we will have our first classroom community building event in the Alliance Room.  We invite the families of our preschoolers through first grade to come and join us for a breakfast and pajama party.  There will be a small fee to help offset the cost.

I would like to take a minute to thank all of the wonderful volunteers and families that are a part of this program.  I have reached my one-year anniversary here at UUCM and it has been an absolute blessing.  Here’s to happiness, health, and a joyous New Year!
