Exchanging Skills and Services

Come learn about what time banking is all about – from concept to how it actually works in Portland Maine, and its launching here in Essex County. It’s all about a non-monetary system where an hour of volunteering earns a member a “time dollar” to spend receiving other services. Hear from founding member and South Orange resident, Mathilde Benveniste, how it works, why it’s growing in popularity, and how it builds community, all while addressing real needs of people of all ages, backgrounds and talents. This presentation and membership in the “Essex Time Exchange” are open to all and is free of charge. Next Tuesday, January 22, 7:00 to 8:30 pm in the Pierels Room. If questions, email Mary Moriarty, call Collin Minert.
