Record Release Party for Julia Crafton

Record Release Party for Julia Crafton

Join us in celebrating the songs of Julia Crafton, a child of the congregation, currently enrolled in our Coming of Age class.

Woodstock Child, Julia Crafton’s first fully recorded collection of original compositions, is twelve songs entirely written and sung by her.  At 15 years old, produced during “Covid Times”, without the opportunity to perform or interact with other musicians directly, she created demo tracks, patiently sent them electronically to various instrumentalists, and waited for the recorded tracks to return.  The project slowly bloomed through this very long and protracted process.

Julia has spent over a year of her young life working very hard on this labor of love, and is eager to share it with you, her Village.  Hosted by Rev. Anya Sammler-Michael, Julia and Special Guest musicians will share stories about the creation process as well as play some of the songs for you.  Julia has also prepared collections of photos, artwork, and lyrics to go with the songs to share the heart behind the music.

We hope you will join us in celebration, Sunday, January 24th at 7pm., to share together in joy and community.  We invite you to sit down with a snack and beverage in hand, and pretend we are together at your favorite club or coffee house.
