Other Groups We Support
There are groups that, while outside our congregation, meet here regularly or have permanent offices at UUCM. And, we are supportive of the mission of others, which often have direct involvement by our congregants.
Alcoholics Anonymous (www.aa.org)
Meetings are held in the Peierls Room every Tuesday at 1:00 PM and Friday at noon.
Early Explorers Preschool (www.earlyexplorerspreschool.org)
Their goal is to provide a stimulating and enriching environment for young children to learn, grow, and explore while developing social/emotional, physical, cognitive and language skills. Children learn about the world around them by “doing” with hands-on, meaningful experiences we call “explorations.” Each classroom will include “interest areas” such as a library, sand/water tables, block, dramatic play, art, music, and table toys. Early Explorers Preschool will be open year ‘round Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and will follow a schedule similar to the Montclair Public Schools. The Preschool will have three separate classrooms for children ages 2½-3, 3-4 and 4-5 year olds and will offer parents the option to choose full day, partial day or 1/2 day hours.
Memorial Society of Northeast New Jersey (www.funeralsnenj.org)
The Memorial Society of Northeast New Jersey is a nonsectarian, volunteer, nonprofit organization that seeks to help people achieve comfort and security through the prearrangement of their end-of-life wishes for a simple, affordable and dignified funeral. The Society is dedicated to helping people become educated consumers by providing information on their rights, options and expenses when planning a funeral. Through timely and thoughtful preplanning without any prepayment, members are able to reduce the stress and potentially costly decisions made at a time of bereavement.
