Interfaith Hospitality Network

The Interfaith Hospitality Network of Essex County, with help from volunteers in our community, is a crucial community outreach program dedicated to providing shelter, direct services and housing assistance to homeless families. The network provides temporary overnight shelter and meals in houses of worship, and also assists families in finding permanent housing. In addition, educational programs for children and families are offered to help them maintain stability and self-sufficiency. Although we do not have the facilities to house the families, we act as hosts for families – provide dinner, run activities and are overnight hosts – when they are housed at other houses of worship.
