Each year, the Mortenson Scholarship Fund awards small education grants of $500.00 to the youth or children of our congregation’s members, or to youth who are members of our congregation in their own right. This fund was established by Dorothy Mortenson, in memory of her husband who was a teacher. Past awardees have often been graduating seniors, but this award is open to any student of any age. Past awardees have used the grant money to cover the cost of their first semester books, to help defray the cost of their first year’s tuition or to help fund writing projects.
