Summer is here, and for some of us, that means — new books to read! ARE invites all to join us in a new ‘common read” initiative. In the next few weeks — stay tuned! –we will be making recommendations for books to put on your summer reading list, and read at your leisure. Then we will create a space for diverse voices, unconventional thinkers, and open minds to come together to discuss these popular books through a moral lens. We are thinking it would be fun to discuss these on a Friday evening in the Fall, over drinks and light refreshment. We have already received many suggestions, but are open to more. If you have a book that you would love to share please send the suggestion to are@uumontclair.org.
Our goal is to connect, to question, to explore how the ideas from the page translate in our real world, to learn together in beloved community. Expect lively conversations, insightful questions, and the kind of collaborative learning that feeds both the intellect and the spirit. Whether you’re a lifelong UU or just spiritually curious, there’s a seat for you at the table.
Come for the books. Stay for the dialogue.
Leave inspired.
