Are you interested in becoming a ’leader’ at UUCM? Maybe you’re wondering what defines leadership, or you may simply have a desire to better share more of your time and talent in our beloved community. This year’s Harvest the Power program seeks to support new and existing members in exploring leadership opportunities and engage current leaders to share and strengthen their ministry in sustainable ways! This curriculum develops leadership skills for work within or outside UUCM, though we will have a UUCM focus..
Harvest the Power is a lay leader development program, using a curriculum adapted from the UUA. Through deep self-reflection – guided through a nurturing, spiritual lens – we will develop our individual Unitarian Universalist identities to grow as leaders. We will explore the concept of leadership as a means of communication, collaboration, and creativity, and seek concrete ways to apply our discoveries to our congregational. Join us as we discern how best to use our unique gifts to serve in ways that align with our hearts. Come learn that Leadership is powerful ministry!
The Deadline to apply for this class is September 18th! We begin our 6-month program with a Kick-off Dinner (Sept. 27th), an Overnight Retreat in Ocean Grove, NJ (Oct. 4th-5th), and end with an inspiring Graduation (Feb. 23rd). Harvest graduates have gone on to serve in small ministry groups, leading covenant groups, serving ministry team leaders or even as board members. Only $75 to enroll – scholarships available!
