We light this candle to celebrate Dana Moore who has been accepted into seminary at the Starr King School for the ministry. This candle shines to honor Dana’s commitment to her calling and to remind her that wherever her journey takes her, this light will guide her back to the love of her congregation. 

We light this candle to celebrate our own Kira Pipkins, as she made history as a wrestler by becoming the first athlete in Bloomfield history to capture two state individual titles in any sport. Way to go Kira!

We light this candle to honor the three year anniversary of the installation of Rev. Scott and Rev. Anya as Co-Ministers in service to our congregation. At the end of this congregational year our congregation and our Senior Co-Ministers will have been joined together in ministry for four years of challenging and beautiful work. 

We light this candle in celebration – on April 11 Jan Carlson Bull will celebrate 30 years since her graduation from Union Theological Seminary.   And beyond that on April 11th Jan will celebrate 20 years of membership at UU Montclair. 

Dana Moore lights this candle for ‘her Natto Boys’ in celebration of O’Neil Natto’s Birthday, today, March 21st, and Devin Natto’s Birthday,  Fri. March 26th. Dana adds: “Life just gets better with these two!”

We light this candle of Joy for the the Equality Act, passed on Friday by the US House of Representatives. The Equality Act would amend the 1964 Civil Rights Act to protect people from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity in employment, housing, services and access.
