Oct 11 at 6 PM – Oct 12 at 5 PM
A retreat for all who identify as women ages 16 and up and have a leadership role within our congregation or in their lives beyond our congregation. Our retreat will be led by the Rev. Kimberly Quinn Johnson, a program leader with the UU College of Social Justice, a collaborative leader with Black Lives Unitarian Universalism, a teacher of Women’s and Gender Studies at New Jersey City University, and the minister of the South Fork Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Long Island.
Together we will create a brave and safe space that nurtures us as leaders, invites us to confront the challenging realities of gender bias and sexism, and encourages us in the spiritual growth that will sustain us in our lives and leadership roles.
Our retreat will be held at the Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center in Lanoka Harbor, NJ (https://www.murraygrove.org). Full and Half Scholarships will be available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Registration opens on July 1, 2019 and closes on September 15, 2019.
