Juliana Lombardo

Music Intern

Music and spirituality have been closely entwined throughout Juliana’s life.  She began cantoring for church at age 10, eventually serving as a professional cantor for weddings and funeral services.  She sang in various choirs throughout her youth, which helped to hone her skills of harmonization, sight-reading, and blending with other voices.

A classically trained vocalist, Juliana graduated from Point Park University’s Conservatory of the Performing Arts with a BFA in Musical Theater.  She is a self-taught guitarist and songwriter, and though she enjoys a variety of musical styles, folk and roots music is what really strums her heartstrings.

Juliana has released a full album of original songs, taught herself to yodel (much to the dismay of her roommates at the time), and composed music for three theatrical puppet productions.  She is passionate about empowering children with songwriting. Juliana’s greatest collaborator, both in music and life, is her husband Paul. She continues to write songs when the spirit moves, and is excited to explore composing and arranging songs for this congregation.

The connections we make in the course of a life--maybe that′s what heaven is.
