Our Annual Service Auction is fast approaching on Saturday, November
19th, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM.
The Auction is our single largest fundraising event and its success
depends on the enthusiastic turnout we always have!

Call
for Musicians! The UU Dirt Band is looking for musicians for
the backup band for our UU Auction on November 19th. We are looking
for keyboards, guitarists, bass players, any brass or reed players
and a drummer (or several to spell each other during the silent
auction). This will be the band for "Karaoke with the Band"
which brought in over $100 for the Auction last year and is back
by popular demand. Ability to read chord charts (guitars and bass)
and improvise or play melody without sheet music (keyboards, brass
or reeds) is expected. Lead guitar skills would be a nice plus.
What time commitment is involved?
a. Make it to two (2) rehearsals of a fairly extensive set list
(dates and times to be announced)
b. Show up at the auction by 4:30 PM to set up, sound check and
run through the schedule.
c. Play from 6:00 PM to the end of the silent auction when you are
free to go to the live auction. If we have multiple players for
the instrumentation we may be able to have shifts so you can actually
purchase stuff at the silent auction. Otherwise we will try to arrange
for a runner to keep track of your bids.
