Rainbow UU -
Welcoming Congregation Committee
The Rainbow UU at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair,
is an open and affirming group committed to the promotion of a positive
image for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersexed, and
Questioning (LGBTIQ) community and a supportive environment for
LGBTIQ individuals, friends, and family.
For the past five years, the Rainbow UU has been providing a safe,
fun, and friendly space through its Rainbow GAME NIGHTS.
Join us on the third Saturday of the month from 7:00 to 9:00 PM
in the Peierls Room (2nd Floor) where you can draw out artist within
through a game of Pictionary; stretch your imagination with clay
sculpting in a game of Cranium; or play a game of cards. Play games
of strategy and skills or just silly fun. You are welcome to bring
your favorite game.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Suggested donation $3.
[Please note for the 2009-2010 year, Game Night will not be
held in December, June, July, and August]
On the Sunday after Game Night, meet up for a brown bag lunch and
conversation in Fletcher Hall following the second service. In addition
to the fun-filled game nights, the Rainbow UUnion is developing
a Rainbow UU area in the Narthex of the congregation to let LGBT
visitors know about our welcoming congregation and community; organizing
greeters at Sunday services to welcome LGBT folks; and developing
a library of LGBT books.

For Marriage Equality and Support of GLBT Issues
Below are photos of UUCM members and friends at
the National Equality March in Washington, D.C. on October 11, 2009,
where people gathered to let our elected leaders know that now is
the time for full equal rights for LGBT people.
