Buildings & Grounds
Rain gardens are a beautiful and beneficial addition to any landscape. By capturing rainwater, they help to reduce stormwater pollution and protect local streams, lakes, and rivers. Rutgers University has created a Rain Garden Manual and a Brochure that provide more information on how rain gardens are created and what they do. We are working on creating a new rain garden here at the U. If you would like to learn more, please contact Sabina Ernst.
Want to Learn Gardening? Member Gary Sanderson will be at the U every Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 12 noon working on our grounds and gardens. Helpers are always needed and appreciated. If you would like to give Gary a hand, come any Tuesday morning with any gardening tools you may need.
