Snow Cancellation Policy
It is impossible to predict all of the winter weather conditions that might warrant the closing of the church. This is especially true for services on Sunday morning when no one would want the church to be closed. In an effort to provide an approach that might enable members and friends to anticipate what to expect, the following guidelines are being offered:
-
Don't take any unnecessary chances. If you feel that there is significant reason to question your safety while traveling on the streets, stay home.
-
If an ice storm is in progress, stay home.
-
For an evening or Saturday meeting or event, if a considerable snow storm or an ice storm is predicted, call the church office voice mail (973-744-6276 ext. 17) for information.
-
In the event of a major snow storm on a Saturday night/Sunday morning:
-
The church web site and the church office voice mail (973-744-6276 ext. 17) will both be updated as soon as any decision to cancel has been made;
-
If a snowfall of 5 to 10 has occurred on any Saturday night/Sunday morning, there will be one service only at 11:00 A.M.;
-
If a snowfall of over 10 has occurred on any Saturday night/Sunday morning, there will be no services held on that Sunday.
