Directions and Parking Information:
Driving From the East:
Take Route 3 West to the Grove Street/Montclair exit. Turn left
at the end of the exit ramp onto Grove Street. Take Grove Street.
for appromixmately 4 miles, passing traffic lights at Bellevue Ave.,
Watchung Ave., Walnut St., and Glenridge Ave. Turn right onto Bloomfield
Avenue, go past four traffic lights and turn left at the fifth light
onto South Park Street. Go one block and turn right onto Church
Street. UU Montclair is immediately past the parking lot on your
right.
Driving From the West:
Take Route 46 East to Valley Rd./Montclair exit (you will be
at the point where Rt. 46 meets Rt. 3). The exit ramp will feed
you into Valley Rd. going south. Continue on Valley Rd. for approximately
3 miles. Just after you cross Bloomfield Ave. in Montclair, Valley
Rd. ends at a traffic circle. UU Montclair is immediately to your
left. There is a parking lot immediately to the right of UU Montclair.
Driving From the North:
Take the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 151 (Watchung Ave.)
Turn right at the end of the ramp. Continue to the intersection
of Watchung Ave. and Park St. (just beyond the railroad overpass).
Turn left and continue on Park St. for about 1 mile. Cross Bloomfield
Ave. and make the first right onto Church St. UU Montclair is immediately
past the parking lot on your right.
Driving From the South:
Take the Garden State Parkway North to Exit 148 (Bloomfield
Ave.). Follow signs after exit toll to Bloomfield Ave., holding
to the left lane. In order to get on Bloomfield Ave. in the direction
of Montclair, you will first cross Bloomfield Ave. and then make
a U-turn just beyond in designated left lane. Follow Bloomfield
Ave. to Montclair town center, a distance of approximately 2 miles.
As you climb hill, look for signs for South Park St. (comes just
after Fullerton Ave.). Turn left at South Park Street, go one block
to Church Street and turn right. UU Montclair is immediately past
the parking lot on your right.
From New York City by Bus:
Enter Port Authority closer to 41st Street (as opposed
to the more uptown entrance closer to 42nd Street). Go to DeCamp
ticket window on the ticketing concourse and ask for ticket(s) for
the #33, #66 or #66R to Montclair. You cannot board bus without
prior purchase of a ticket. One-way ticket prices range from $7.65 to $7.90
(as of January 2012).
Take the #33 or #66R bus directly to Church Street in Montclair.
Take the #66 bus to Bloomfield Avenue and South Park Street. Walk
south on South Park Street then turn right onto Church Street. UU
Montclair is immediately past the parking lot on your right.
From New York City via NJ Transit Rail:
Purchase your ticket at NYC Penn Station for the Montclair/Boonton Line to Bay Street in Montclair. You must purchase your ticket prior to boarding or you will incur a $5 surcharge from NJ Transit.
One-way ticket price is $6.75 (as of January 2012). The ride takes about 30-40 minutes depending on when you travel.
Once you exit the train, you will exit onto Pine Street. Go to Bloomfield Avenue and head west to South Park Street. Turn left at South Park Street, go one block
to Church Street and turn right. UU Montclair is immediately past
the parking lot on your right.
UUCM is approximately 1 mile from the Bay Street Train Station.
Parking at UU Montclair:
Parking is permitted on the street and is free after 6:00 PM. There
are 8 parking areas within easy walking distance of UU Montclair:
- Hillside School lot on Orange Road
- Orange Road in front of Hillside School and Pre-K Center
- Parking Garage on Orange Road
- Municpal Parking Lot on corner of Valley Road and Bloomfield
Avenue
(The Montclair Police Dept. will not issue parking tickets
on Valley Road (in the NO PARKING areas on the east side of the
street between Bloomfield and Church Streets) during services
on Sunday mornings. Parking in front of fire hydrants, blocking
driveways, or other safety related violations will be ticketed.)
- Church Street Municipal Parking Lot (metered parking)
- Municpal Parking Lot on Maple Place between Bloomfield Avenue
and Portland Place
- Parking Garage next to YMCA, between Park Street and North Fullerton
Avenue
- Parking Garage on South Fullerton Avenue between The Crescent
and Church Street
Please note that the driveway at UUCM is reserved for employees
and those needing handicapped access ONLY.
We kindly ask that ALL members and visitors DO NOT park
in the driveway, even if you are just visiting or dropping something
off. You will be asked to move your car, or if we cannot find the
owner of the vehicle, it will need to be towed at the owner's expense.
If you are not a member of the staff, please leave your handicapped
parking permit in plain view. We thank you for your cooperation!
